Project Overview
Theater Design Northwest was called in to upgrade the automation systems and modernize this client’s extensive circa 2005 AV systems at their Clyde Hill home. The first issue were the outdated text-based remotes that also had the unfortunate tendency to have the RF antenna break off from the slightest impact. These were replaced with 3 URC MX-450 RF remotes, a rugged color screen activity based wand style remote with a one year warranty and PC backup of programming.
In total we went through and optimized 3 different surround systems in the home, fixing issues like: BluRays that were only playing standard def video because of oversights by the original installer, updating all remotes to RF instead of IR, configuring cable to play Dolby Digital instead of stereo analog audio and optimizing audio calibration.
