On another beautiful Strandberg Construction custom home, Theater Design Northwest was fortunate to be chosen as the AV, window treatments, automation and networks integrator to supply a cutting edge technology experience for the clients. These wonderful homeowners were first time home theater owners and wanted to experience high end quality audio + video in their theater. All video displays in the home are 4K resolution including an amazing JVC DLA-X950r, one of the first 2016 JVC projector models installed and calibrated in the PNW. Audio throughout the home is Sonos zones playing through beautiful Totem Acoustics TAC series in ceiling speakers. The home theater audio features the flagship Totem Acoustic Tribe in wall series powered by 7 channels of Parasound Halo amplification controlled by the latest Yamaha Pre/Pro for an amazingly dynamic and accurate audio experience. Dual Totem Tribe 2-12″ inwall subwoofers ensure that you really feel it! The flagship JVC 4K projector displays on a Stewart Filmscreen 120″ acoustically transparent screen with L/C/R’s installed behind.
Other video displays in the home include a 78″ Samsung UHD in the living room with audio through the Sonos system and a 60″ Samsung UHD in the sewing room using a Sonos Playbar, with all displays being ISF calibrated for reference accuracy. Lutron Caseta lighting is scene based for simple control with usable presets.
All of the bayview windows in the greatroom are treated with high quality QMotion roller blinds for light control and privacy. The whole home is spec’d with gigabit speed ethernet hardwired everywhere and UniFi enterprise grade access points deliver reliable and fast WiFi. A URC Total Control system controls the entire AV, lighting and window treatments room by room in the home with sensible and simple to use activity based programming by us on the clients iPad and also auxiliary wand remotes for convenience. Portable Sonos PLAY One units deliver music in the guest rooms and master bath.
